How should one who has caught up with the congregation (Jam’ah) late to replace missed Rak’ah(s)

Opinion 1: You Pray what you have missed

If you join the congregation late while the Imam has already completed one or more Rak’ahs, then after the Imam completes the Salah, you stand up and only pray the Rak’ahs that you have missed starting from the first Rakah.
